The Optimizing Your IT Portfolio: Best Practices from Planning to Delivery course supports the entire acquisition and project management lifecycle, including strategic planning, budgeting, project planning, acquisition, surveillance, and deployment. This course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the best practices for reviewing project proposals, prioritizing projects based on strategic objectives, and insuring the current portfolio of projects are on track to deliver the planned benefits. For Federal Agencies, this process requires the development of business cases, completion of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Exhibit’s 300 and 53, as well as monthly updates to the Federal IT Dashboard.
